Scottish Express provides transport and accommodation options only so that people can participate in outdoor activities of their choosing. We do not endeavour to guide or educate people on outdoor activities that they wish to pursue at our destinations, and we hold no responsibility for any risk associated with any such indivduals actions in regards to such activities. We encourage people to use the Mountain Safety Council Website, it’s a great resource for planning trips in the outdoors.
Scottish Express package deals often include high quality activities booked through external providers who are certified to provide such activities. We act as a booking agent for these providers, and a conduit to provide all necessary information to Scottish Express customers to participate in these activities. General Covid 19 Information
Scottish Express transport only is considered public transport or chartered transport – No Vaccine Pass is required to travel on Scottish Express.
Scottish Express vehicles are throughly cleaned and sanitised before each trip.
If you are symptomatic with Covid 19 virus, please do not attend. We are more than happy to discuss credits or refunds.
Luggage dry storage capacity is 780 litres, at max vehicle capacity of 9 people this is approx 85 litres per person. Please enquire about additional luggage requirements.
All Bikes are to be assembled prior to transport on Scottish Express.
We may request that you remove e bike batteries prior to transport depending on the overall weight of your bike, as the weight of loading bikes with batteries can pose a significant physical hazard to staff
Transport and Accommodation Cancellation, Amendment, No Show and Refund Policy
The Scottish Express reserves the right to cancel any transport or accommodation package for any reason that it deems fit (this could be but not limited to fire, extreme weather and natural hazards or operational incidents). Customers booked on these days will be given the opportunity to transfer their booking to another day, or get a refund. We will give as much notice as possible. Cancellation will be notified by email to the person that made the booking
100% refund for up to 7 days before travel( minus any third party booking costs)
Transfers and refunds are not available within seven (7) days of the booking unless approved by Scottish Express.

We will not accept bookings for unaccompanied children less than 13 years of age. Any such children must be accompanied by an individual 18 years of age or more.
Please pre enquire about booster seat requirements for small children.

Wairoa Gorge Packages
Very important: at least 1 member of your party has to be a current NMTBC member, to book.
Wairoa Gorge Packages are subject to additional Terms and conditions as set by the Gorge Mountain Bike Park. Scottish Express is a booking agent for the Wairoa Gorge to provide a portal for transport and accomodation to the Gorge. For more information on the Gorge and it’s term and conditions please go to the Gorge Website, when on site at the Gorge please heed all direction given by the Wairoa Gorge staff members on duty.
The Gorge river crossings and road conditions may rarely cause disruptions/cancellations to travel to the Wairoa Gorge and it’s Lodges. In the rare event of extreme road and/or river conditions causing a cancellation we will endeavour to negotiate with The Gorge to provide alternative accommodation, activities or refunds. Mountain Weather is out of our control!!
Drop of times are at the Gorge are negotiated with the Gorge according to operational requirements of the Gorge.
