Description
Lock in your transport for the Marlborough region’s ultimate point-to-point backcountry adventures. This combined booking page gives trampers and advanced mountain bikers seamless access to the historic Wakamarina Track and the Nydia Track (via Opouri Saddle). Designed to eliminate multi-car logistics, grueling road climbs, and vehicle worries, our shuttles allow you to move in the most rewarding direction with your transport completely sorted.
Select from our options below to customize your booking:
Option 1: Wakamarina Track Morning Shuttle (Butchers Flat to Kiwi Saddle)
Leave your vehicle parked right at the finish line. Arrive at the northern end at Butchers Flat (Canvastown side) in the morning, where our shuttle will meet you and transport you directly to the southern high point at Kiwi Saddle (Onamalutu side). From there, you are free to explore the rugged bush spine of the Richmond Range, eventually rolling or walking right back to your own car door.
- Best for Trampers: A demanding, deeply immersive 7-hour+ backcountry crossing (perfect as a big day push or an overnight hut trip).
- Best for Mountain Bikers: A world-class Grade 4/5 backcountry masterpiece completed in one epic day.
Option 2: Opouri Saddle to Kaiuma Bay Afternoon Return (Nydia Track)
Skip the hardest initial climbs by starting at the top of the mountain. Park at the high-altitude Opouri Saddle (or Duncan Bay) in the morning and dive straight into your point-to-point journey through native forest down to the Pelorus Sound. At the end of your trip, our afternoon shuttle will be waiting at Kaiuma Bay to lift you, your gear, and your bikes safely back to your vehicle.
- Best for Trampers: A relaxed two-day coastal journey with an overnight stay at a campsite or lodge.
- Best for Mountain Bikers: An epic, technical Grade 4/5 singletrack day-trip.
