This bike is our premium light weight Kahurangi 500 bike, it weighs in at 12.5kg, and is geared to ride with a maximum 6kg of luggage. We recommend staying in accommodation  and hiring our lightweight equipment to help achieve a sub 18.5kg overall weight.  Please contact us for details

Current set up:

• Frame: Large 2015 Specialised crave SL with Eccentric bottom bracket
• Gearing:Alfine Geared Hub -36 tooth front, 22 tooth rear cog. The equivalent derailleur system would be a 36 Chainring and an 11-42 Cassette( please use the calculator on this link to compare gearing ratios)
• Rear Wheel: Shimano alfine SG-S7001-8 on Nextie Carbon rims
• Front wheel: Halo 15mm front hub on Nextie Carbon rims
• Brakes: Shimano XT, front 180mm, rear 160mm
• Handlebars: Easton Carbon Havoc Bars, 31.8mm, 720mm with Ergon GP 4 grips
• Fork: Lauf carbon leaf spring fork. Trail Racer( 60mm travel)
• Current pedal:Shimano XTR platform
• Cranks: Deore LX
