Free Rameka shuttle for Ex New Zealand Trail solutions Staff

Free Rameka shuttle

23rd January – leaving Nelson at a leisurely 9am

Missing those eclectic days of throwing you bike on a trailer and hanging out with some pretty cool people while working for New Zealand Trail Solutions.

Would really like to offer a chance for people to catch up and have a bit of fun with the old crew . I’ll chuck it on again sometime if you miss out. And please spread the word- I don’t have everyones contacts, and not everyone will be on social media.

So dig out those 26inch wheels(if youre still on them), chuck on your Gumboots and come for a shred and a catch up on the Rameka.

I can do pick ups anywhere from Nelson to Motueka

Working at the Gorge for 9 years, combined with my love of small hatchbacks finally came to an end when I realised that my current role at the gorge as volunteer coordinator required a vehicle with a wee bit more space!!

Hmmm!!! what to buy. Something tough that can go anywhere, and carry anything. It’s a no brainer- a V8 landcruiser. Perfect for shuttles too!!

Well the original idea was not to start out as a transport business. The Gorge was struggling with transport logistics. We had a new firetruck in the wings but it wasn’t quite there yet.

Finally the firetruck arrived. Woo hoo!

So what to do with the Landcruiser now, its all certed up and ready to go. The light bulb flicked on.

Always a lefty by nature, It was really important for me to be able to be able to give back to the community that has supported me, but also not go for broke in the process.

So I needed some business aims that fitted my ethos

1.) Enable well piced packages that are affordable for a wide spectrum of people to get into the outdoors- this was really important

2) Kick back 5% of my profits to provide free tranport to the community to enable great thing to happen for not for profits.

And hence the 5% strategy was born
